RENTON, Wash. - At least one person was injured in a Tuesday morning house fire that sent heavy smoke drifting through a Renton neighborhood.
Firefighters and medics rushed to the scene, in the 4900 block of NE 1st Street, at about 9:40 a.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of heavy smoke and flames spewing from a home there. The column of smoke could be seen from blocks away, fire officials said.
A second medic unit was later called to the scene for assistance in helping a burn victim.
