Northbound I-405 reopens after multi-vehicle crash in Renton
RENTON, Wash. - All northbound lanes of Interstate 405 have reopened Thursday morning following a multi-vehicle collision in Renton that injured several people and caused a four-mile backup in both directions from the crash scene.
State troopers and medics responded to the scene, near NE 30th Street, at about 10:40 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash.
Video footage from the scene showed at least four damaged vehicles, including a truck towing a trailer with a car on it.
Multiple people were injured in the crash, but none of the injuries is considered life-threatening, according to Renton Firefighters.
The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation.
All lanes were blocked by the crash initially. One lane was later let through, and all lanes reopened at about 11:35 a.m. after the wreckage was cleared.
