Abandoned building catches fire in Fremont

SEATTLE -- The Seattle Fire Department fought a fire in an abandoned building early Thursday morning in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood.

Crews arrived to the scene in the 400 block of Bowdoin Pl. at about 1:30 a.m. and were able to put out the fire without any reported injuries. They stayed overnight to fully extinguish hot spots in the area.

Fire investigators will return in the morning to try to identify the cause.
