ELLENSBURG, Wash. (AP) - Twin Ellensburg brothers pleaded guilty to attempting to kill their father at the home they shared.
The 25-year-olds, Caleb and Joshua Bledsoe, were sentenced Friday in Ellensburg to nine years in prison.
The Daily Record reports they had been charged with first-degree attempted murder, arson and possession of improvised explosive devices. In a deal with prosecutors they pleaded guilty to second-degree domestic violence attempted murder.
Investigators determined the twins set the house on fire last September trying to kill their father with smoke. Firefighters put out the fire and treated 70-year-old William Bledsoe for smoke inhalation.
All three worked at Bledsoe & Sons Gutters and Sheet Metal in Ellensburg.
