BOTHELL, Wash. - A woman in her 20's has moderate injuries after a 60-foot-tall tree fell on her SUV, trapping her inside near Clearview, north of Bothell Wednesday night.

According to Snohomish County Fire District 7, it happened around 7:45 p.m. near 51st Ave SE and 175th Street SE.

Firefighters had to extricate the woman from the SUV. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A passenger in the car was not hurt.

Investigators don't yet know what caused the tree to fall. They said the SUV was parked on the side of the road, and the wind was blowing a little bit when the top of the tree snapped off.

Firefighters said 51st Ave. SE was closed between 169th and 180th Streets for more than an hour and a half while they worked to remove the tree and clear the scene.
