3 injured in crash on Aurora Bridge
SEATTLE -- Three people were injured in a multi-car crash that snarled traffic along the Aurora Bridge during the height of the evening commute.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. around the midspan of the bridge. Seattle Fire officials said five vehicles were involved in the crash, but haven't said yet what led up to the collision.
One person was trapped in their car and had to be cut out by firefighters. In all, one person was taken to the hospital and two others were treated at the scene. While their exact injures weren't given, Seattle Fire officials said all patients had stable vital signs.
The crash blocked the bridge for a while, but crews managed to open one lane in each direction just before 5:30 p.m. Backups stretched for miles from the scene.
Updates to follow as more details become available.
