PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. -- Three people were rescued after their 40-foot boat caught fire off Port Townsend Monday afternoon.
After the fire broke out, the three people on board donned survival suites and got into the waters north of Protection Island, according to the officials with the U.S Coast Guard.
A Good Samaritan nearby picked up the crew and transferred them to a U.S. Coast Guard crew.
They were eventually brought to the Port Hudson Marina.
The Coast Guard didn't say if any of the three suffered any injuries.
