Teen girl, boyfriend shot overnight at Auburn apartment
AUBURN, Wash. - A teenage girl and her boyfriend were rushed to the hospital after they were shot overnight in an Auburn apartment, police said.
The incident unfolded at about 11:10 p.m. Tuesday after the 17-year-old Tacoma girl and her 19-year-old boyfriend went to an apartment in the 500 block of 8th Street NE in Auburn.
The two then got into some kind of dispute with someone else in the apartment, and they were shot. The girl was shot three times and the boyfriend was shot once, police said.
The male suspect fled the scene and remains at large. No other information was available about the suspect.
Police and medics responded to the scene. The injured pair were treated at the scene and then rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Their conditions were not immediately available, but an Auburn police spokesperson said both are expected to survive.
