Today: Pizza company goes green with new location, offers free slices
What better way to enjoy lunch then with a free slice of pizza? How about a free slice of pizza at a new pizza shop while going green?
On Thursday, Pagliacci Pizza is celebrating the grand opening of its newest location, on the corner of Madison Street and Arboretum Drive.
The company recently announced the new takeout and delivery kitchen is also the company's first LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - shop and is recognized as the only LEED-certified stand-alone pizzeria in the city.
"We've been working with our design and construction partners to ensure that Pagliacci's Madison Valley location is green from the ground up - from the wood and other materials used in the framing, to the countertops, all the way to the lighting fixtures, plumbing and even the paint on the walls," said Matt Galvin, president and co-owner of Pagliacci Pizza, in a recent statement.
The company says its newest location is another step in its history of enacting sustainable practices.
Customers who visit the new pizzeria from 11:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. today can enjoy a free slice of pizza.
