LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. (WPEC) — A man who investigators say tried to break into a home ended up killing himself.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office said Jonathan Hernandez died when a window fell on him and pinned him in mid-air. Authorities said this happened Saturday as he tried to sneak into a home in Lehigh Acres, Florida.

When deputies arrived at the home, they found the 32-year-old convicted felon dead.

A spokesman for the sheriff's office called it an accident.

The sheriff's office said Hernandez is no stranger to law enforcement. Authorities previously arrested him in 2014 for his role in a murder.
