It's been several years since Seattle has set a record low temperature, but that streak ended Thursday morning.

Seattle dropped to 26 degrees, breaking the record low temperature of the day of 30 degrees, set in in 2005.

The last time Seattle broke a record low temperature record was also in February -- almost exactly seven years ago on Feb. 25, 2011.

There have been 69 record highs set or tied in that period.
