Hey Queen Anne -- you're on!
Those who live in Sequim are quite familiar with the extra sunshine they get while the rest of the region is under a dark cloud, but Tuesday morning, Queen Anne residents got a taste - albeit a brief taste -- of a similar effect.
Just after 8 a.m., the morning clouds parted juuuust enough to where a brilliant sunbreak cast a spotlight on Queen Anne as the rest of the city remained cloaked in darkness. The photo is from the balcony off our newsroom at Fisher Plaza.
The effect lasted, oh, about 3 minutes before they went back into the darkness too, but it's 3 minutes of sunshine that they can call their own that the rest of the city missed out on.
