Skittles to produce limited 'Seattle Mix' in honor of Marshawn Lynch

SEATTLE -- Skittles candy has been getting quite a bit of publicity over the years from Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, whose professed love for the candy is well known. It's common to see Skittles rain down from the stands at CenturyLink field when Lynch scores a touchdown.

But now Skittles is making the relationship a bit more formal by signing Lynch to an endorsement deal.

And to celebrate the deal and the Seahawks' trip to the Super Bowl, Skittles will produce a limited edition "Seattle mix" full of just blue and green candies that will be auctioned off to three lucky fans. The proceeds will go to Lynch's charity, the Fam 1st Family Foundation.

A few other bags of the Seattle Mix Skittles will also be given away during surprise events across Seattle.

ESPN reports the endorsement deal will pay Lynch and undisclosed amount and Skittles will donate $10,000 to Lynch's charity for every touchdown he scores in the Super Bowl.
