Seahawks expect Rice to be ready for season

RENTON, Wash. (AP) - Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider says the team expects recently re-signed wide receiver Sidney Rice to be ready for the start of the 2014 season after suffering a torn ACL midway through last season.

Schneider touched on a number of topics during his pre-draft availability on Wednesday.

Schneider added that Terrelle Pryor was acquired from Oakland with the idea that he'd compete as a quarterback.

Seattle sent a seventh-round pick to the Raiders in exchange for Pryor. There was a thought he could be a dual-threat player for Seattle, but Schneider said Pryor is learning the quarterback position.
