Former Seahawk Jeremy Lane pleads guilty to reckless driving
SEATTLE -- Former Seahawk Jeremy Lane, who had faced a DUI charge, pleaded guilty Monday an amended charge of reckless driving, the King County Prosecutor's Office says.
Lane was released from the team earlier this month
The accusation stems from a January arrest.
The Washington State Patrol says Lane was pulled over on eastbound Interstate 90 on Mercer Island at 2:13 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018.
He was booked into jail, then released four hours later.
A Washington State Patrol report said Lane told the trooper that he had had nothing to drink but had smoked marijuana three hours earlier.
A breath tests showed a blood-alcohol limit of .039, below the legal limit of .08.
Lane later said he didn't want people "thinking he was drunk," the report says.
Mason said Lane then said, "This time I was more high than anything."
Lane is next scheduled to be in court on May 4.
