UW basketball alumni game brings back NBA players

SEATTLE (AP) - Sonics fans yearning for the return of professional basketball to Seattle will get the next best thing Sunday afternoon when University of Washington players who went on to careers in the NBA return for an alumni game.

Among the players who will be back in Hec Edmondson Pavilion are Isaiah Thomas of the Sacramento Kings, Spencer Hawes of the Philadelphia 76ers, Tony Wroten of the Memphis Grizzlies and Nate Robinson of the Chicago Bulls.

Coach Lorenzo Romar organized the event.

The Daily Herald reports10 of the 19 alumni players spent last season on NBA rosters. Others played previously in the NBA or professionally overseas.
