Days before they take the field for the first time since the Holiday Bowl, Washington State released six new football uniform combinations.

The new sets, which were revealed on Wednesday after being teased on social media the day before, feature slightly revamped all-white, all-crimson and all-gray looks, which have become fan favorites and been in heavy rotation lately. The Cougars also updated their traditional gray-crimson-gray combo, while introducing an all-gray anthracite option, in addition to new white-gray-white and crimson-white-crimson styles.

Washington State last introduced a major redesign of its uniforms when it signed a deal with Nike in 2011. Since then the Cougars have tried to stay true to their "classic" look while integrating more futuristic fabrics, features and color combinations.

"Thanks to our tremendous partnership with Nike, we are able to take advantage of new technologies with these uniforms that will benefit our players' performance," WSU athletic director Bill Moos said in a statement. "At the same time they are appealing to our fans and recruits, and stay true to the traditions of Washington State athletics."

The Cougars wrap up spring football by hosting their annual Crimson and Gray spring game on Saturday at Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane. is a media partner of KOMO News. Click here to read this story on
