Safeway and Albertsons Announce Innovation in Education Grants

How could $5,000 improve, advance and enrich student learning?

Safeway and Albertsons know that teachers in our community can think of many answers to this question, and that’s why they’re proud to announce the Innovation in Education Grant.

Educators can enter by submitting ideas for creative projects in literacy, math, reading, science, health, engineering and social studies. Innovation is encouraged and so are unique ideas and unorthodox approaches.

The contest is open to classroom teachers and specialists working with kids in grades K-12. The teacher can apply on her or his own, or if available, a school district foundation can apply on behalf of the teacher.

The Safeway and Albertsons Foundation focuses its giving on the communities it serves and the causes that matter most to its customers and employees. The Foundation is proud to help support innovative education and creative learning for the children in their communities.

Applications are due March 17th of 2017 and winners will be announced four weeks later on April 15th.
