Messy crash in Kent more suited for Granite Falls

KENT, Wash. -- Who knows what drivers listen to on their commutes home, but for those near a crash in Kent Tuesday afternoon, it might have sounded a lot like rock and roll.

A semi truck hauling granite collided with another car along SR-167 near the Willis Street exit, spilling its load across several lanes.

Luckily, a Department of Transportation's maintenance yard is right there on Willis Street and they were able to quickly get a front loader to the crash site and begin the cleanup.

In the meantime, three lanes were blocked for the cleanup efforts.

No one was hurt and the State Patrol is still investigating what led up to the crash.
