Why Does Amazon Want a Second Corporate Headquarters?

SEATTLE -- Cities across North America have six weeks to submit their proposals to Amazon about why they would be a good location for the company’s second headquarters. Amazon announced on Thursday that it will spend more than $5 billion on a second location. Employment there could eventually be 50,000 people.

So why is Amazon doing this? And does it say something about Seattle?
