One-On-One: Lewis A. Jones, Seattle Mayoral Candidate
In a little more than two-and-a-half-weeks, Seattle voters will vote for mayor in the August primary. Many of the 21 candidates have held public office before and have a good deal of name recognition.
Lewis A. Jones, an 81 -year-old Republican businessman, is not that well known. He doesn't have much of a campaign staff, no real money and no significant endorsements. But he believes he’ll win, he says, because he’s the best person for the job.
Mr. Jones is a regular KOMO Newsradio listener, so he called up and asked if we'd talk to him. On the KOMO Midday News today (weekdays 1-3pm) I went one-one-one with Mr. Jones.
