How Restaurants Can Reduce Food Waste
SEATTLE -- No one wants to waste food – that's true for your family and the businesses that feed us.
A demonstration project by The World Wildlife Fund and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (with support from the Rockefeller Foundation) showed that hotels can significantly reduce food waste.
On the KOMO Midday News, Pete Pearson, director of Food Waste at the World Wildlife Fund, explained why reducing food waste is so important to the environment. (Click the picture above to hear the audio).
