Butterflies Headed to Houston Land at Pacific Science Center in Seattle
SEATTLE -- Chances are you know that animal shelters around the northwest accepted dogs and cats from the Houston area last week. This was done to open up shelter space in the flood zone.
It turns out that we also got some butterflies or at least the pupae that would become butterflies. They'll be fluttering around at the Tropical Butterfly House at the Pacific Science Center.
On the KOMO Midday News 1-3P, Sarah Moore, the Science Center's Living Exhibits Manager, shared the story of how this all came about. (Click the picture above to hear the audio).
