Police: 2 teens found shot dead inside parked car

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (WJLA) — A 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man are dead after police say they found them shot inside a car Monday night on a residential street in Montgomery Village.

Montgomery County Police say they were called to the 8200 block of Gallery Court for a report of gunshots at around 10:46 p.m. Police got to the scene and say they found Shadi Adi Najjar, 17, and Artem S. Ziberov, 18, both of Germantown, in a parked Honda with broken windows suffering from bullet wounds.

Both teens died at the scene, according to police.

Residents in the area said they are surprised by the shooting but that there have also been concerns about safety in the community.

Police are continuing to investigate the killings and have not released any other information at this time.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on the double shooting to call police at at 240-773-5070 or Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers says they are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects.
