HOUSTON - A spokesperson for President George H.W. Bush reports he and his wife Barbara are doing better after a good night's rest.
According to a statement released Thursday, Jim McGrath said, "President Bush had a good night's rest and remains in stable condition in the ICU."
The 92-year-old former president was hospitalized Wednesday after falling ill. His wife Barbara was also admitted.
"After being admitted yesterday and diagnosed with a case of bronchitis, Mrs. Bush reports she feels "1,000% better" this morning.
She was reportedly suffering from fatigue and coughing.
The couple is currently the oldest living First Family.
McGrath said the two were visited by Jim and Susan Baker Wednesday night, and are thankful for the care and support.
