Yakima deputies arrest man suspected of repeatedly stabbing 68-year-old man
TOPPENISH, Wash. — The Yakima County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that took place just outside of Toppenish Friday night.
According to YCSO officials, sheriff deputies and Yakama Nation Tribal Police responded to the 200 block of Wanitay Park Drive at about 8:15 P.M.
Law enforcement say the victim is Basil Emmons, 68, of Toppenish. He was found inside the residence with multiple stab wounds.
The sheriff's office says law enforcement arrested a 38-year-old man who is a relative of Emmons. He's been booked into the Yakima County Jail on a 1st degree murder charge.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place in the coming days.
