LAKEWOOD, Wash. -- Washington State Patrol says a yellow Corvette believed to be involved in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night has been located by Lakewood police.

A motorcyclist suffered two broken legs after being struck by a yellow Corvette around 7 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 405, just south of SR-167, WSP reports show.

Detectives used debris found at the scene to determine the suspected vehicle to be a yellow, 2006-2013 Corvette-C6 Generation. They also determined the crash would leave "a hole in the fiberglass above the right front wheel well and damage to the passenger side mirror" of the car.

The car was reported stolen as it was being impounded on Monday, Trooper Rick Johnson tweeted.

A driver has yet to be named.

Due to the nature of the injuries and fleeing the scene, the driver is being sought for Felony Hit and Run.
