Wrong-way driver sparks rollover crash on Hwy. 167

KENT, Wash. - A car heading the wrong way on Highway 167 triggered a rollover crash early Thursday near Kent, the Washington State Patrol reports.

The wrong-way driver remains at large.

State troopers responded to the scene, Highway 167 at 212th Street, at about 2:40 a.m. after receiving reports of a car heading south in the northbound lanes of the highway.

Arriving there, they found a vehicle that had rolled over after barely avoiding a collision with the wrong-way car. The occupants of the rolled-over vehicle were not hurt.

The wrong-way driver kept going after the accident. Near Willis Street, the car stopped and turned around, then exited onto Highway 516.

Troopers say they received various descriptions of the car. The last description was of a gray four-door car with two men inside.
