Loretta Cool with the Tacoma Police Department said the woman was at the intersection of South 19th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way at about 2:30 p.m. when two men began shooting at each other.
It's unclear if either of the shooters was injured, but Cool said the 45-year-old woman was hit by a stray bullet. She drove herself or was driven to a nearby hospital, where she was treated.
Cool described her injuries as "minor."
Police have not made any arrests in the case, and they haven't released detailed descriptions of the two men they're looking for.
