West Seattle High students walk out over election
SEATTLE -- Students at West Seattle High walked out Wednesday morning and marched to the Alaska Junction to protest the election results.
Luke Duecy, a spokesman for Seattle Public Schools confirmed the walkout and said:
"The district is supporting schools and staff on ways to best handle potential reactions from students, especially, younger students, to the election results. We are working with our school board to create supports.
Schools are handling this on a case by case basis – they’re still feeling out how students are feeling."
