PORTLAND, Ore. - The mother of Kyron Horman led a new search for her missing son this weekend.
Volunteers on Saturday searched in Northwest Portland near Skyline School, where Kyron was last seen more than three years ago.
Kyron's mother, Desiree Young, told KATU's Anna Canzano that she's glad people have not given up searching for her son. She said searchers will be in the same area on Sunday.
A Multnomah County Sheriff's Office spokesperson said they are aware of the search, but are not participating.
The sheriff's office considers the case active.
No one has been charged with a crime related to Kyron's disappearance.
