Violent felon found hiding in stranger's apartment
EDMONDS, Wash. -- A felon wanted for allegedly punching and robbing an Edmonds woman earlier this month was arrested Monday after law enforcement found him hiding in a stranger's apartment in Lakewood.
According to the Edmonds Police Department, the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force received information that Matthew Propst was hiding in the apartment of someone he didn't even know. The Task Force was able to arrest him there.
Propst, along with another man already in custody, allegedly attacked and woman and stole her purse June 11 in Edmonds.
According to police, Propst is a violent offender considered an armed career criminal by the ATF. He has prior convictions for manslaughter, robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm.
