The fire at 121 Blue Ice Terrace in Diamond Point was reported at 11 a.m., said Patrick Young, Sequim Fire Department spokesman.
The father of the boy, Jeff Bellis, was airlifted from Diamond Point Airport to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of substantial burns and smoke inhalation, Young said. He is in critical condition in the Harborview intensive care unit, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The mother of the child, Heather Bellis, her 4-year-old son and a grandmother safely escaped the fire at the Diamond Point home.
The toddler was missing for several hours but his body was located Friday evening after firefighters brought in equipment to remove the collapsed roof
The home was completely destroyed and a vehicle next to it was gutted.
The cause of the fire is not known now.
