An unstable air mass triggered another round of thunderstorms across the Puget Sound region Saturday morning, bringing brief downpours, occasional hail and rumbles of thunder.
In between the storms, the sun would come out and you'd wonder what just happened.
Luckily no one was seriously hurt in Saturday's storms, but it was certainly a close call for a man who was struck by lightning while trying to film the storm at Greenlake.
Near Northeast 52nd Street and Ravenna more than 2,000 customers in the area lost power when a tree fell on wires and sparked a fire.
In North Seattle, lightning struck a tree that sent a bolt of energy to a nearby garage at Northeast 75th Street and Latona Avenue Northeast, setting it on fire, according to Seattle Fire Department officials. No one was hurt.
Thunderstorms were expected to roam around through the afternoon then taper off this evening.
