The girl was walking or jogging at roughly 8 p.m. when she was approached by two strangers, according King County sheriff's spokesperson Cindi West.
The attackers, who are white men believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, began taunting the girl and calling her names.
The girl told police the men grabbed her, threw her on the ground and tried to pull off her shorts. During the struggle, one of the men stabbed the girl in the leg.
She was able to fight the men off and run away. After running to a nearby friend's house, the girl called 911 and was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
