Teen killed in rollover crash; driver arrested
YELM, Wash. -- A 34-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the rollover crash that left a 19-year-old man dead Monday night in Yelm, according to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the Chevy Camaro driven by Margaret Le Ann Kautzman of Yelm crashed on a sharp curve in the 15800 block of Bald Hill Road Southeast around 9 p.m. and came to a stop on its roof.
The 19-year-old victim was partially ejected from the car and died at the scene, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Kautzman was trapped inside the car and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries upon her removal.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Kautzman was likely under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs at the time of the crash, and she has been arrested for investigation of vehicular homicide.
