Teen girl struck by gunfire in South Seattle
SEATTLE -- A 15-year-old girl was hospitalized after being wounded in gunfire in South Seattle Sunday.
Police say the shooting happened around 3 p.m. in the 11200 block of 59th Ave. South. The victim was taken to a local hospital and while police didn't give the extent of her injuries, they said that she was expected to survive.
Investigators have yet to give any further details surrounding the shooting nor have said if the girl was the intended target. They are asking for anyone who witnessed or has additional information on the shooting to call Seattle Police.
