TUMWATER, Wash. - A 19-year-old man has been arrested, accused of killing his father in Tumwater Wednesday evening.

Officers were called to the Tumwater Tumberland Library just after 6 p.m. after the teen told people there he had harmed someone.

When police arrived, they detained the teen for questioning and confirmed his story. They also discovered blood on his shoes.

He told officers he had harmed someone at home in the 2200 block of McIver Court.

Detectives arrived at the home and discovered the body of a 53-year-old man, later identified as the suspect's father. They said he appears to have died from homicidal violence, but haven't given any further specifics.

The suspect has been booked into the Thurston County Jail for investigation of first degree murder via domestic violence.
