Suspects arrested but still no motive in Snohomish stabbings

SNOHOMISH, Wash. -- Police have arrested two suspects in Tuesday's apparently random stabbing of two brothers playing Frisbee at the old Snohomish High School freshman campus.

According to the Snohomish Police Department, the 28-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, both of whom live near where the attack occurred, were arrested without incident. The male suspect was booked into Snohomish County Jail after being interviewed Thursday.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident and still have not discovered a motive for the attack.

According to police, the two victims were tossing a Frisbee around with a third friend around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday when a couple walked up and asked if they had seen their lost dog. The victims said the couple then attacked without warning, stabbing both of them.

The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment following the attack and continue to recover, according to police.

Ed. Note: This story originally referred to the victims as friends. They are actually brothers. We regret the error.
