Suspected burglar arrested in burglary-plagued neighborhood

SEATTLE -- Officers arrested an 18-year-old man early Friday morning on a burglary warrant in a neighborhood recently plagued by burglaries, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to police, officers on patrol due to an increase in burglaries in Greenwood were called to the 800 block of Northwest 85th Street for a disturbance between four people in a car.

Officers arrived to find the 18-year-old burglary suspect in the car with a revolver on the floor next to him. According to police, the gun's serial number had been defaced. The man was arrested on the outstanding warrant and possible gun charge and booked into King County Jail.

Officers processed the woman behind the wheel of the car for driving under the influence and interviewed the two other passengers, who are suspects in the burglary for which the warrant was issued.
