The Peninsula Daily News reports that Deputy Chief Brian Smith says Officer Lucas Degand suffered a minor hand cut while K-9 Bogey appeared unhurt. The arrested man was treated for dog bites before being booked into jail Sunday night.
The newspaper says 31-year-old Joshua Tinker of Spokane made a preliminary appearance Monday in Clallam County Superior Court. He was held on $10,000 bail for investigation of felony eluding, taking a motor vehicle without permission, driving without a license and DUI.
The motorcycle was recovered by the Washington State Patrol and returned to its owner.
