      Spokane police shoot, wound man

      SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Police in Spokane shot and wounded a man Wednesday night after a handful of officers converged on a home.

      The Spokesman-Review reports that witnesses say they heard an officer yell, "Drop it! Drop it!" After that, witnesses say they heard multiple gunshots.

      The wounded man was taken by ambulance to a Spokane hospital. His condition was not known.

      There were no immediate reports of any officers injured.

      Police did not immediately release any details.
