South Kitsap High School in lockdown after threat
PORT ORCHARD, Wash. -- South Kitsap High School went into lockdown Thursday afternoon after a threat to "shoot up" the school was posted to Facebook on Wednesday night, according to Port Orchard Police.
According to police, authorities became aware of the threat about noon on Thursday when a student showed the Facebook post to a faculty member.
Police are on campus investigating.
According to the school district, staff and students are safe. All evening activities Thursday have been cancelled at the high school.
