Snohomish Co. pursuit ends with crash near Silver Lake

MILL CREEK, Wash. - A deputy was slightly injured and two patrol cars were damaged during a Friday morning pursuit in Snohomish County that ended with a crash near Silver Lake.

The incident unfolded at about 10 a.m. when a woman called 911 to say she had spotted her stolen car being driven on Lowell-Larimer Road east of Everett, said Shari Ireton of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies located the vehicle and attempted to stop it with a tactical maneuver but were unsuccessful. The deputy who attempted the maneuver sustained minor injuries and damage to his patrol car.

Deputies then attempted to use a spike strip to stop the car, also unsuccessfully.

Finally, the suspects in the stolen car accidently struck a parked patrol vehicle near the intersection of 129th Place SE and the Bothell-Everett Highway, and the pursuit ended, Ireton said.

The two suspects, both men believed to be in their 20s, are in custody.
