Shots fired at hospital as woman's exes confront each other
TACOMA, Wash. -- St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma briefly went into lockdown Monday night after a woman's two ex-boyfriends, one of whom was armed with a gun, confronted each other outside the hospital, according to the Tacoma Police Department.
According to police, the suspect -- the ex with the gun -- pistol-whipped the victim -- the ex without a gun -- around 8:30 p.m. Shots were reportedly fired before the victim wrestled the gun away from the suspect.
The victim ran into the hospital, and the 55-year-old suspect left the area, according to police.
Officers arrived and got the gun from the victim. The hospital was put in lockdown while police investigated the incident.
No one was hurt during the shoot, and no damage was reported.
