Sheriff: Man shot, stole borrowed car instead of returning it to owner
LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- Deputies are looking for a man who fired a shotgun into the side of a borrowed Subaru instead of returning it to its owner Wednesday morning, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
According to the Sheriff's Office, a woman who lent the car to the suspect asked him to return it around 11 a.m. in the 19400 block of 24th Avenue West in Lynnwood.
But instead of doing that, the suspect pointed a shotgun at the woman, fired it into the car's door, and then drove off in the car, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The car is a light green 2001 Subaru Legacy with license-plate number 468YJO. There is shotgun damage on the driver's side door. The suspect is approximately 6-feet-4-inches tall and 240 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green Carhartt hooded sweatshirt, camouflage pants, boots and a baseball cap.
Deputies believe the suspect is currently in the area east of Lynnwood.
