Seattle police: Man shot in leg, possibly over woman
SEATTLE -- A man was shot in the leg Friday morning near Garfield High School, possibly in an argument over a woman, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Police were called to 27th Avenue South and East Yesler Way around 7 a.m. for multiple reports of gunshots.
Officer found the 44-year-old victim, who had a gunshot wound to the leg, and he was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
According to police, the victim said he had a confrontation with two men, and one of them pulled a gun on him. Other than that, the victim was "not very forthcoming" with information or a description of the shooter, according to police.
Officers believe the victim knew the two men, and they may have been arguing about a woman.
Officers also found a number of shell casings in the 300 block of 26th Avenue South.
