Seattle officer suffers minor injuries in car crash

SEATTLE -- An on-duty Seattle police officer suffered minor injuries in a Tuesday evening car accident in Seattle's Interbay neighborhood.

The officer was heading north on 15th Avenue West near West Boston Street in a patrol car when an oncoming car made a left turn in front of the officer, according to police.

The officer crashed into the turning car before coming to a stop on the sidewalk.

The officer was taken to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries. The officer, who has not been identified, was released a short time later, according to police.

The other driver was not injured.

Police have not said who was at fault in the crash and it's unclear if anyone was ticketed.
