      Schools locked down after truck stolen at gunpoint

      MARYSVILLE, Wash. -- Two area schools were locked down Monday morning after a truck was stolen at gunpoint and found abandoned in Marysville, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.

      According to the Sheriff's Office, the white Chevy Silverado was stolen by a man armed with a handgun around 7 a.m. A little more than 90 minutes later, it was found abandoned in the 4900 block of 67th Street Northeast in Marysville.

      A K9 track for whoever stole the truck was unsuccessful, and Marysville Middle School and Liberty Elementary School were locked down as a precaution.

      According to the Sheriff's Office, the thief is no longer believed to be in the area, and the investigation is continuing.
