Robbery suspect eludes SWAT team in South Seattle
A suspected robber eluded Seattle Police Department officers and SWAT team set up outside his South Seattle apartment Tuesday night.
According to police, detectives were attempting to arrest the 25-year-old man around 6 p.m. when he apparently spotted them and ran inside his apartment near 29th Avenue South and South Norman Street.
Patrol officers, negotiators and a SWAT team blocked off streets and attempted to get in contact with the man.
Once a search warrant was obtained a few hours later, police entered the man's apartment only to find it empty.
